Phil’s arrival at Craydl marked a pivotal moment for the company, as he assumed the role of overseeing the entire preconstruction process.
“My responsibilities span from the project's conception right up to its permitting, covering everything from feasibility studies, architectural design and engineering, to ensuring quality control and coordination with permitting authorities,” says Phil. “I handle RFPs, review proposals, award contracts, and manage our consultants.”
Within his multifaceted role in operations, Phil ensures that every aspect of the pre-construction phase is seamlessly orchestrated. As a client liaison, he coordinates with both the general contractors and the permitting authorities.
Having most recently honed his skills during nearly six years with a luxury custom homebuilder, Phil brings a rich tapestry of expertise to Craydl’s operations. His journey there began as an estimator, where he quickly excelled—eventually taking on responsibilities in budgeting, estimating, AP/AR, and coordination with architects, engineers, and designers of all types. His ability to understand and explain complex plans, coupled with his proficiency in CoConstruct and QuickBooks programs, exemplifies his importance to a team focused on precision and accuracy.

“What keeps me going in this industry is the opportunity to apply my experience in homebuilding and real estate to make the building or remodeling process less confusing and intimidating,” says Phil. “I genuinely believe there's a market for the type of technology and services Craydl offers, especially given my personal experiences with inefficient budgeting processes and incomplete plan sets.”
With over two decades of experience in homebuilding and real estate, Phil’s unique insight into the industry’s challenges allows him to see the opportunities available in streamlining operations.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Phil’s commitment to service extends to his volunteer work with the Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association. For over a decade, he has been committed to the organization’s mission of saving lives in Arizona’s rugged backcountry, having served in various roles on the board of directors and as the team’s recruit training officer.
